Meet the Coaches

John Walker was named Head Baseball Coach prior to the 2018 season. During his tenure, the Commodores have won five Region Titles, three North-Half Titles, & appeared in the State Championship Series in 2019, 2024, & claimed the school's second state Championship in 2025. Since 2018, twenty Commodore players have signed to continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level. 

Walker began coaching in 2004 at Water Valley, with stops at Delta State and New Albany before coming to Lafayette.

Coach Reno is in his 14th year of coaching baseball, spending nine years at Ripley High School before joining the Lafayette program four years ago. He graduated from Blue Mountain College and later earned his master’s degree from Mississippi College. Coach Reno has been married to his wife, Parrish, for eight years, and together they have three children: Lincoln (6), Louise (4), and Harris (2 months).

Coach Lindsey is from Olive Branch, Mississippi, and a graduate of Lewisburg High School. I continued my baseball career at Northwest Community College for two years before transferring to Delta State University, where I played for two seasons and earned my degree. After finishing my playing career, I began coaching at Lewisburg High School for two years, then spent two seasons at Lake Cormorant. For the past two years, I’ve been on staff at Lafayette.
